Growing up in Louisville, Kentucky, the Derby has come to be one of my favorite times of the year. For this project I decided to create 100 different Derby-themed images. I experimented with a myriad of different mediums, including line drawing, watercolor, transfers, colored pencil, vector images, and photography. This project helped me break outside of my comfort zone and explore different ways to create imagery. I expanded on this project further by using some of my favorite images from the series to create promotional postcards for the Derby.
