As a member of the Marketing and Admissions team, I was tasked with creating key touch points with future Rockets and their families through print and digital mediums to drive engagement and enrollment. I was in charge of the art direction, design, and copywriting for a variety of items from recruitment posters that were delivered to the Catholic grade schools around Louisville during our recruitment visit, to post cards outlining important dates for upcoming future Rocket events, and of course highlighting and promoting events on the school's social media platforms. I'd say our recruitment strategy worked as we were able to increase enrollment by 145% for the class of 2027!
Our grade school recruitment posters featured some personalized touches for each school including current students who are alums of each grade school and a customized headline for each school. Other key information is included below such as our newest accolade as the Courier Journal's Best of the Best 2022 Best Private School in Louisville, important numbers regarding classes offered, clubs, and extra curriculars, and important dates.
Our fall 2022 recruitment postcard outlining important dates for upcoming future Rocket events. This was a direct mail piece that was sent to 6th, 7th, and 8th grade girls in Louisville.
A TikTok I created to promote our newest accolade as Courier Journal's Best of the Best 2022 Best Private School.
Social media is often the first place many of our future Rockets hear about Assumption and interact with the school. To utilize this important touchpoint with a key member of our audience, I created a social media strategy to promote recruitment events such as Open House, which is our biggest event of the year. We had an extremely successful Open House that was attended by over 700 future Rockets and their families.
Our next biggest event after Open House was the High School Placement Test which is only open to 8th graders who are planning on attending Assumption the following year. I promoted the test on social media and engaged a younger audience through TikToks and Instagram Reels. We had a record number of 8th graders take the test at Assumption, and it was the highest number we had had in decades!
